China Close 130 Thousands of Internet cafes

BEIJING - The Chinese government shut down more than 130 thousand internet cafe in her country over the last six years, as part of their efforts to control the cafe market.

"By doing this cafe chain movement would allow the government to have greater control," said Yu Yi, an analyst from Analysys International.

"The chain cafes will create a standard of service and the same security," he added.

Approximately one third of China's Internet population access the virtual networking via the Internet cafe. China's Culture Minister said that the number of Internet cafe users in China reached 163 million in the year 20 101. While the total population of Internet users in China is 457 million.

According to the Minister of Culture of China, now there are 144 thousand cafes in China. Now the country is working on systems to control access to user information on the Internet.

The number of people who use the internet cafe to access the Internet increased by 28 million by 2010. Meanwhile, half the people who use the internet cafe in China aged 18 to 25 years. At the same time, 60 percent of users have incomes of 3 thousand yuan (USD456).
